The problem is when I backup the data from C drive to the thumbdrive, instead of copying the data from C drive, Onedrive wants to download the data from the cloud. I wanted to temporarily backup Onedrive from the C drive to a thumbdrive because I am going to move onedrive to a larger hard drive, and I do not trust that Microsoft will loose my data somewhere in the process.
